Waterproof by design.
The Long Beach and Wellington plantation shutter range: Waterproof shutters
Moisture-rich areas need shutters that are supremely durable. This shutter product is specifically designed to excel in challenging, moisture-rich environments like bathrooms, wet rooms, and showers. Panels are crafted from a closed-cell composite that does not absorb water, with marine-grade stainless steel hinges and fully waterproof hardware. The result is a shutter that keeps its shape, sheds splashes, and wipes clean with ease.
Their robust construction is key to their performance in these settings. Utilising marine-grade stainless steel hinges, the shutter is highly resistant to corrosion and rust, ensuring long-lasting functionality even with frequent exposure to water. Beyond its practical benefits, these ranges are available in a diverse palette of 23 different colours, allowing for seamless integration into a wide range of bathroom and wet room designs.

The Long Beach & Wellington shutters - The advantages
The shutters themselves are crafted from a closed-cell composite material. This specialised composition not only provides superior strength and durability compared to traditional materials but also prevents water absorption, a crucial factor in maintaining the shutter’s integrity and appearance in wet conditions. To sum it up, some of the significant benefits of this range include:
- Waterproof at the core
- Stable alignment over time - no swelling means tight gaps
- Hygienic and easy to clean
- Light, privacy and airflow control
- Quiet, durable finish

Wellington plantation shutters: What can we provide?

Their excellence in humidity
Wellington sits alongside Long Beach due to similar environmental conditions - steam, humidity, and daily use. The same closed-cell composite core resists swelling, while the hardware set is specified to withstand repeated exposure to water. Profiles stay slim, movement remains smooth, and the finish looks crisp in bright light.
Long Beach bespoke shutters
Every opening is measured by the owners. We set louvre size to balance privacy and view, and position rails to clear taps, ledges and tiled reveals. For shower enclosures or tight alcoves, we refine projection, fixing points and handle clearances so the shutter feels integral.

Installation and care
You book. We visit, measure and set proportions with you - louvre size, rail heights, hinge positions and fixing points. You receive your price there and then. With a 50% deposit, we place the order. Around 12 weeks later, the office schedules a fitting. Our carpenters protect floors, drill carefully, caulk edges, check movement, and then remove packaging for recycling.
Colours and finishes - 23 options
A wide palette of 23 colours supports everything from pale, spa-like tones to deeper accents that ground tiling. The closed-cell composite carries colour evenly with a soft, low-sheen look that resists water marks and wipes clean.
Customised Long Beach Wellington shutter collection
Both ranges are available across our core styles, so your bathroom and adjoining rooms stay visually consistent:
